Our Committees

Members who are able to commit for at least a year are welcome to serve on committees of the Pennsylvania Prescribed Fire Council (PPFC).

  • Annual Conference Committee. Plans and executes PPFC’s annual conference. Lead: Kip Adams.
  • Communications Committee. Coordinates PPFC’s communications with members and the public. Lead: Jeremy Dayhoff.
  • Elections Committee. Oversees nomination and voting of PPFC members to the Board of Directors. Lead: Todd Breininger.
  • Governance Committee. Regulates and tracks decisions of the PPFC Board of Directors. Lead: Todd Breininger.
  • Private Lands Committee. Directs the Certified Prescribed Burn Manager program. Leads: Todd Breininger & Stephen Ruswick.
  • Standards Committee. Oversees changes to Pennsylvania’s Prescribed Fire Standards. Lead: Todd Breininger.
  • Training Committee. Provides and promotes prescribed fire training opportunities to PPFC members. Lead: Dan Smith.
