The Pennsylvania Prescribed Fire Council is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an S-390: Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior Calculations course. The course will be held September 8–12, 2025, at the Wyndham Garden Hotel and Conference Center in Boalsburg, PA. Please see the attached announcement for course details, prerequisites, and cost. This is a BETA version of S-390 and will emphasize modern fire behavior modeling using Behave 7.

Nominations are due by June 20, 2025 and can be submitted by following this link: https://forms.office.com/g/ar6mQKqcp0. Once all nominations are reviewed, you will receive a separate email indicating if you have been selected for the class. Students selected for the class will receive additional details on payment and lodging sometime in early July.
